Terms & Conditions

The terms you agree to when we repair, buy or sell a device. Written in plain English rather than legalese.

Last updated: 10 August 2026

1. Who we are

iBrokeMyGadget is a trading name of Zahi Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 15053100, at 22 Princess Way, Camberley, Surrey GU15 3SP. In these terms, “we” and “us” means Zahi Ltd, and “you” means the customer.

2. Quotes and pricing

Diagnosis is free and carries no obligation. Any price we give you is based on the fault we have found at that point. If we open a device and find a further fault, we will stop, contact you, and agree a revised price before doing more work. We will never carry out work you have not approved.

Quotes are valid for 14 days. Part prices move, and we would rather re-quote than absorb a loss or surprise you.

3. Your data and backups

You are responsible for backing up your own data before handing a device over. We do not delete data as part of a repair, but no repair is risk-free, particularly liquid damage and storage faults, where data loss can occur regardless of care taken. We cannot accept liability for data loss.

Where a repair cannot be tested without your passcode, we will ask for it and use it only to test the work. How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.

4. Warranty on repairs

Selected repairs are covered by a 365-day warranty against failure of the part we fitted or the workmanship involved. We will tell you at the point of booking whether your repair qualifies.

The warranty does not cover:

  • New accidental damage, including drops and impacts after the repair
  • Liquid damage occurring after the repair
  • Faults unrelated to the work we carried out
  • Devices opened, altered or repaired by anyone else after we returned them
  • Normal wear, including gradual battery capacity loss

Warranty claims require proof of the original repair. Bring your receipt or job number.

5. Devices we cannot repair

Some devices are beyond economical repair, and some faults cannot be fixed at all. Where that is the case we will tell you, you will not be charged for the diagnosis, and you can take the device away or ask us to dispose of it responsibly.

6. Collecting your device

Please collect your device promptly once we tell you it is ready. Devices left with us for a prolonged period after completion may incur storage charges or, after a reasonable period and reasonable attempts to contact you, be disposed of to recover costs. We will always attempt to reach you first using the contact details you gave us.

To be confirmed: the exact storage period and any charge before disposal need to be set by the business and inserted here.

7. Devices we buy

When you sell us a device you confirm that it is yours to sell, that it is not stolen, and that it is not subject to finance or an outstanding contract. You must remove any account locks (Find My on Apple devices, or a Google account on Android) before we can buy it. Once a sale is agreed and paid, it is final.

8. Devices we sell

Refurbished devices are pre-owned. We describe condition honestly, including cosmetic marks. Each refurbished device carries a warranty against fault. The term depends on the device and is confirmed at the point of sale.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full and nothing in these terms limits them.

9. Our liability

We take responsibility for our work. Our liability in relation to any device is limited to the value of that device or the cost of the repair, whichever is lower, except where the law does not permit such a limit. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of income, loss of use, or loss of data.

10. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, tell us first. Most issues are resolved quickest face to face or on the phone. Email info@ibrokemygadget.co.uk or call 01276 66611.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute falls to the courts of England and Wales.
